POMENE BAY

Pomene Bay, located some hundred kilometers north of Inhambane, is one of the most picturesque areas in all of Mozambique.

The wild and natural beauty of this Bay, which can only be reached by 4 X 4 vehicles, has remained entirely preserved and free from development. The breath-taking and beautiful landscape compensates the 4 hour drive from Tofo.

The Pomene Lodge is located right on the lagoon which protects the bay, between the infinite blue reflections of the Indian Ocean and the crystal clear water of the Mangrove forest.

 

 

 

In this unique environment, you can admire the sun at dawn as it rises above the Indian Ocean, or the beauty of dusk as it sets into the mangrove estuary, or the rose of a wing-filled sky of flamingos in flight.
