Situated 30 kilometers from the Malelane entrance to
Kruger Park, Thokozani is a more economical alternative
as a base for visiting one of Africa’s most famous natural
reserves.
Daily safaris depart from the lodge in air conditioned
minibuses.
Excursion to Blyde River Canyon also possible from the
Lodge.
The Lodges’ thatched roof cottages are nestled into a luxurious garden, shaded by huge palm trees which are home to a large variety of bird life (more than 80 species). You can cool off in the large pool and relax under the garden’s canopy while observing and listening to the life overhead.
You are more than welcome to explore the Lodge’s grounds. There is an easy access to the shores of the White River where African wildlife is abundant – lizards, birds, mongooses – ideal for hiking or just simply relaxing and dreaming on the rocks. For those looking for more energetic activities, why not try horseback riding, golf, tennis, or squash?
Once you have tired of the sun (or the rain!), the Lodge’s shaded veranda and salon are the perfect places to read, listen to music or enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Various games are available as well as a billiard table.
The terrace is the ideal spot for a drink at sunset, where you can watch bats taking off for their nightly hunting expedition.
In the evening, around a bonfire, serenaded by crickets and local owls, the most beautiful starry sky will be your ceiling.
