"Terra Profunda" ....... "Deep Planet".
The only fully-licensed Travel Agency, located
in Tofo, Mozambique.
Established in 2003, the company has developed
and grown to an international recognised Tour Operator
for diving and safaris in Mozambique and South Africa.
The agency is owned and operated by Christophe,
a French national with 12 years experience in Africa.
After many years of exploring the deserts of Namibia,
the Okavango delta in Botswana and other Southern
African regions, the next step for this PADI certified
Dive Instructor was to discover the hidden secrets
of Mozambique in a more “aquatic” environment…...hence
followed the move to the small coastal village of
Tofo, the future Diving Mecca of Mozambique.
In addition to the activities related to Terra
Profunda, Christophe decided to combine the gastronomic
talents of his Namibian wife Nangi, with the French
born love of good food. The idea of a French/African
inspired restaurant was born - La Casa de Comer
- the only one of its kind in Tofo.
The restaurant and the agency employs a team of
mosambican and international people, who found besides
their jobs, a new home in Tofo.
Ludovic, a French PADI and CMAS Instructor, works
since 2 years in the company. Ludo`s passion overall
is diving, he enjoys to show clients the beauty
of the local underwater world.
Babeth organizes the office of Terra Profunda.
The charismatic lady has been living for many years
in-between Africa, Canada and France. She works
with Christophe ever since the old times of Namibian
adventures.
Vincent and Damas with their two children recently
moved from Namibia to Tofo. The Belgian chef manages
la Casa de Comer and makes sure that quality food
is served with a mix of magic and style... Bom
appetit!
Marcus from Germany joined the Terra Profunda
team in January 2006. From his previous job as
a Dive Master he knows the reefs in Tofo very well.
He takes care of the German market and makes sure
that everybody is happy and smiling.
Last, but not least Terra Profunda and La Casa
De Comer employs 20 Mozambican people in Tofo. Sonja,
Josepha, Ernesto, Carlos, and many more are trained
in various fields. Both companies try to build up
a long term team of local staff and are therefore
respected for being good and reliable employers.
